Today was a day to farewell an old friend. Andrew was my Nan’s best friend and great companion for the last 14 years, and our family became his. He had notched up a few years and had not been in the best of health, so while there were a few tears shed it was much more a chance to celebrate his life and share stories.
Andrew was a man of impeccable manners and this is what helped me choose what to wear today. I wanted to look dignified and solemn, but without losing my individuality. While I wore mostly black and charcoal, I added some purple to soften the harshness of the black and stop me from looking too washed out in the face.
RIP Andrew Stewart – a true gentleman to the end. Thank you.
