Quest for a Functional Wardrobe - Appreciate

Things to appreciate this weekend:

1. A civilised meal with good friends at a restaurant, child-free
2. My parents-in-law for enabling us to be child-free for an evening
3. Even though I couldn’t figure out how to capture this outfit well on camera, the jeans really bring out the purple tones in this floral shirt

It absolutely IS priceless! We kept saying we should do this more often – unfortunately it is an hour drive to my in-laws so as much as they are happy to look after the girls, it can’t be easily done on a whim.

We do see them more often during the day – meeting halfway etc, but it’s just easier to babysit in the evening at their house because the girls have to go to bed. Anyway, it’s an enormous improvement on when our first was born and we lived in a completely different city about 12 hours drive away!

Yes, just know how important it is for parents to be adults and have balance in their lives and wish it strongly for all mothers in particular! I was blessed to have family very close, ten to fifteen minutes away…

I know you were a bit disappointed with your haircut, but every time I see your photos, I’m loving it more and more. Tres chic!
How nice that you got to enjoy a evening out with your husband.
