It’s been 2 1/2 months since I’ve bought anything new and it was getting really difficult to motivate myself to create new outfits for the cold weather, so yesterday I took advantage of the storewide 40% off sale at Jeanswest and bought a few things. First off, these purple jeans. I already have cobalt jeans and wasn’t particularly looking for a second pair of coloured denim, but these were already marked down and with the sale ended up less than half price – a compelling argument! And while I’ve found my cobalt jeans quite versatile, they didn’t really work with some things (like my denim jacket) so I’m expecting these purple ones to open up some new possibilities.
Usually when I’m getting to know a new piece of brightly coloured clothing I keep to safe black and white pairings, but today I thought I’d put my “violet” top with these “blackberry” jeans for a monochromatic purple look.

I also love the monochromatic look and the owl pendant! I too am a thrifter and rarely walk away with nothing, but it can be done….
